Hydra, thanks for the link, That is Henk Persoon on a knuckle sidecar outfit, competition number 38, but the photos are also 2 years earlier, during the 1936 6 day trial event, in Germany.
The Flying Dutchman pic I posted is competition number 109 during 1938 event in Wales UK.

Nifty, you're right the rider in the flying Dutchman photo is D.J.Wuis. I found a scan of an old newspaper from 1938 confirming it
