Yes fit was good. bearings pressed in nice, bushing fit was good and end spacer needed was within what I'd call normal.

I've used a mainshaft from them. It's of decent quality and manufactured accurately. Tranny went right together and works wonderfully.

Proper heat treating is a major consideration. A used Harley gear would be preferable to aftermarket. Try to find one that isn't rusty.

Keep in mind that Harry (Dixie) made these years ago. They were made in Japan not China. I can't remember ever having a problem with any of his stuff.

I purchased a Dixie cluster. It is made in Taiwan. I put a file to the gear teeth and they are hard. Fit in the gearcase is acceptable. Overall, it looks pretty good. One surprise, the internal snap rings are missing.

Missing as in no groove? Or just not sent with them in it? Late '77 up did not have snap rings with the caged needle rollers.

Grooves but no rings. This is an early cluster.
