The Linkert sprays a gas mist when running with an occasional backfire when starting.
Float set at 1/4, hydraulic lifter at 4 turns, timing double checked. New top end. New manifold o-rings, Carb at handbook settings.
Thoughts on what to recheck ?
Thanks Roman

Spraying gas where?
Did you tune the carb per the manual, or is it still at the "start here" settings?

Re: Linkert spraying gas when running
With the air cleaner off, running, while adjusting the idle and “start here settings” as per manual, a gas mist is continuously blowing/pumping out of the mouth or front of the Linkert when running. Makes a backfire scary
Thanks

I'd do the tuning with the air cleaner in place.
And then after you have tuned it, see if the mist still sprays out with the air cleaner off.

Well since you don't have an accelerator pump on that thing. Gas can only come from one place. Your float valve isn't closing, your float isn't set properly or the float is leaking. Fuel don't come from no where. Bob L
